Since we met, married and founded Messina Hof winery in 1977, the Lord has led us on a life journey of family, tradition and romance. We tend our vineyards, share the meaning of John 15 in the vines, write historical fiction books based on the Texas wine industry, lead travel groups to wine regions around the world, produce fun instructional wine and food videos, and sell products online through our MerBon store.

While attending the Naval Academy, our son was given a wonderful local family to be a contact and place to rest. Texas is a long way from Maryland. It gave us such comfort knowing that he had a family there he could rely on. ![]()

We began “adopting Aggies” of friends and family who lived far from TAMU. Our dear friend Wanda Blagg, and her deceased husband Gary, have been family since we met them through GrapeFest in 1986. ![]()

Her daughter Sheila and granddaughter Cheyenne were part of that extended family. It was our honor to host Cheyenne as our “Adopted Aggie” throughout her journey at TAMU through her undergraduate and graduate studies. ![]()

It was such an honor and delight to get to see her walk the stage and receive her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. ![]()
