Keeping it Positive with R.A.G.S.

Keeping it positive is sometimes difficult.

We stive to do what is right, but the earthly reward can seem illusive.

What do you do when you are facing discouragement?

Remember that the Lord loves you unconditionally and is with you always.

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. For He chose us in Him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in His sight. In love He predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with His pleasure and will…” Ephesians 1:3-5

Ask the Lord for an extra share of encouragement and faith.

“In Him and through faith in Him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.” Ephesians 3:12

Give thanks for everything.

“…give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 5:18

Sing praise songs.

“I will give thanks to the Lord because of his righteousness; I will sing the praises of the name of the Lord Most High.” Psalm 7:17

RAGS – we come to the throne in spiritual rags. He lifts us up into union with Him and filled with a glorious light.

“For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light…” Ephesians 5:8
