Joy Pottery
Across the street from Messina Hof Winery is Joy Pottery. It is the home of artist
Rachel Norris and her featured potters. Not only can you buy beautiful clay
creations, but you can take lessons or join us for a weekly Tuesday noon bible
study which is open to all.
“Joy Pottery is where you will find beautiful handmade stoneware… They make
many different forms on the potter’s wheel or by slab construction including, but
not limited to mugs, bowls, pitchers, bathroom sinks and custom tiles. Most of the
work in the retail store is made there by owner artist Rachel Norris but we also
carry the work of several other artists. Each piece is unique. ‘Even when I make
a piece the same way each one has its own character due to the nature of the
process and the response to the fire.'”
Joy Pottery is open to the public Tuesday through Saturday from 10 to 5. Call
about custom orders or come by and see what the latest firing has to offer.
