Did you know that the clusters (fruit) on the vine begin to form in the preceding growing season in the buds along the branch? The bud is like the baby on the branch. Just think, the number of clusters (potential fruit in the life of the branch) is already
being determined before the bud ever appears. “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.” Psalm 139:13
The bud can only grow and produce fruit if it abides in the vine. Apart from the vine it can do nothing. We pray that The Vineyard District be blessed as a place of abiding. “May the Lord bless His land with the precious dew from heaven above and with the deep waters that lie below; with the best the sun brings forth and the finest the moon can yield; with the choicest gifts of the ancient mountains and the fruitfulness of the everlasting hills…” Deuteronomy 33:13-15
